Sep 06, 2019 · I saw this post on reddit and fell in love with this macropad. This is a BDN9, and I want one. The only problem is that the parts have been sold out for months, and I'm a very impatient person. I was wondering if any of y'all could tell me where I could find another kit similar to this. The only requirements I have is a USB-C input. To do so, you will need to have QMK setup on your computer. We recommend following the Complete Newbs Guide for QMK to get setup. The Complete Newbs Guide has a section for Flashing Firmware , but it can be unclear as to how to do so for a microcontroller that isn't yet installed in a board. Keebio BDN9 encoder troubleshoot I recently built a BDN9 and have an issue with one of the encoders. The one on the right functions perfectly while the left one only half works.

Unless you explicitly do `#define EE_HANDS` in your keymap \(this is not the default\), QMK automatically assumes that whatever half the USB cable is plugged into is the left hand board. Even flashing the .eep files in this case does nothing, as it's ignored unless `EE_HANDS` is explicitly set. Not really. You will need a PCB with physical rotary encoder support. There are a few out now (Iris Rev. 3 and BDN9 from Keebio, Planck rev6, and hopefully some more in the future . I code the keymap and features using QMK (my fork on GitHub that I need to clean up before pull request).
